Green Beans and Toasted Almonds
Yield 4 servings
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 ¾ pounds green beans
- ¾ cup sliced almonds
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
1. Preheat oven to 350 F
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add green beans. Cook approximately 7-8 minutes or until tender. Drain in a colander and rinse under cold water.
3. While beans are cooking, spread almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet and toast until golden brown, about 8 minutes. Transfer to a plate to cool.
4. In a large bowl, toss green beans with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Garnish with toasted almonds.
