Dr. Caroline Birks

Caroline Birks, MD is a Harvard-educated, Harvard-trained Internist passionate about the deep and meaningful relationships she builds with her patients. She comes to Synergy from her previous practice at the esteemed Bulfinch Medical Group (associated with Massachusetts General Hospital) where she served as its Medical Director. Dr. Birks believes in providing thoughtful, personalized, integrative care, rooted in the principles of lifestyle medicine, to help each individual achieve their health goals.

Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Birks has resided in the Boston area since college. While caring for patients with complex medical diseases both in the outpatient clinic and in the hospital setting, she has developed a deep appreciation for the value of preventive care and healthy lifestyle. As a faculty member of Harvard Medical School, she taught medical students and residents for over 20 years; she applies the same philosophies to teaching her patients, empowering them to understand their bodies and to achieve their optimal well-being.
