Meet Synergy’s Somadome

A critical part of our mission at Synergy is to help our members achieve whole health including mental and emotional wellbeing. To better serve this need we now have a Somadome available for your use at our office.

Somadome is a technology-enabled therapeutic pod (with open design) that combines binaural beats, color and light therapy, and energy healing with audio-guided tracks to promote emotional health and stress resilience. Sessions may focus on relaxation, performance, ascending (ideal for those who find meditation challenging), motivation, and more. The dome lowers over a reclining chair to a place of individualized comfort; it is designed to help the user feel weightless and to feel an impression of infinite space.

What are biaural beats?

Binaural beats leverage certain audio frequencies to engage specific brain wave patterns. The brain produces a third beat, the “binaural beat,” when the right and the left ear hear sounds at different frequencies. This binaural beat is the difference in frequencies between what was heard. It helps to guide your mind into natural brainwave states that can elicit a feeling of calm, peace, rest, and more. [1

Why use color?

With a modern take on the traditional use of color for healing, Somadome leverages colors to stimulate electrical impulses in the brain that can, in turn, stimulate hormonal and biochemical processes in our bodies. Specific colors are used to complement each session type for alignment with the desired biochemical body response. [2

Energy healing

Somadome incorporates the principles of Eastern energy healing into its design via magnet therapy. This technique applies the same principles that are used in acupuncture to reset the body’s meridian alignment, allowing energy to flow freely throughout your body. Magnet therapy is built into the base of Somadome to produce vibrations that occur in nature while also blocking and dissipating the frequencies emitted by electronic devices, like cell phones. This can promote a calmer and more connected experience, similar to what we experience while in nature. [3

We hope you’ll take a moment to experience the Somadome and learn for yourself how it can be an integrative part of your stress resilience and holistic wellbeing.
