June Food-as-Medicine: BBQ Bests
Join us in the virtual Synergy Kitchen June 21st at 6pm. We’ll make the perfect foods for all your summer grilling and entertaining - they’ll also boost your immune system and help you stay well-hydrated in the summer heat. We’ll be making hearty Grilled Portobello Mushroom Burgers with Roasted Red Peppers and a delicious Watermelon and Heirloom Tomato Salad that features capsaicin-rich Thai chilies to help keep your energy up. Food-as-medicine helps communities thrive. We are thrilled to have Dr. Jacob Mirsky, director of the MGH Revere Food Pantry, and nutritionist Melanie Pearsell join us for our monthly class on May 17th at 6:00pm. We’ll be making carrot salad 3 ways and featuring the carrots and ingredients from the pantry's distribution while discussing their mission. Please join us for this special event to support a fantastic organization working to enhance the health of those with food insecurity in the Revere community through access to healthful plant-based food.
